01 / BUSINESS CONTEXT
AI can work with the model and the records.
An assistant needs to understand what your data means before it can use it well. In Cube OS, business objects describe your customers, projects and other records with named fields and relationships.
The MCP server gives an AI client tools to discover those definitions, query records and perform supported changes. A connected client can work with the live workspace instead of relying on a pasted snapshot of its data.
Claude, ChatGPT and other clients may offer MCP connections in particular products or plans. The client must support a remote MCP server and bearer-token authentication; connection settings vary by client.
02 / AVAILABLE TOOLS
A small set of explicit operations.
The current preview exposes these tools. Each operation runs against the workspace associated with the key.
| Tool | Operation |
|---|---|
list_objects | Discover business objects and their fields |
query_records | Search an object’s records with filters |
get_record | Read a specific record |
create_record | Add a record using named fields |
update_record | Change an existing record |
delete_record | Permanently delete a record |
add_object | Add and publish a business object |
For example, a compatible assistant can discover the Project fields, find projects matching a status and update a record when instructed. Model discovery helps the client use the actual field names rather than guessing the schema.
03 / CONNECT A CLIENT
One endpoint. A key you can revoke.
With private-preview workspace access, open Agents and create a key for the client. Copy it when it is shown; the full key is displayed only once. Configure your compatible client with the endpoint and authorization header below.
- MCP endpoint
https://cubeos.dev/mcp- Request header
Authorization: Bearer <workspace key>
The value above is a placeholder, not a working credential. Keep the real key private, and revoke it from Agents when the client should stop using the workspace.
04 / ACCESS BOUNDARIES
Understand what the key allows.
A preview workspace key grants read and write access to its workspace, including record deletion and adding objects. It is not a read-only connection or a separate per-tool approval system. Configure any confirmation behavior in your AI client and give a key only to a client you trust with those operations.
Keys are scoped to their workspace and can be revoked. They cannot read the founder’s waitlist administration or grant a new person access to the private preview. Workspace and waitlist data handling are described in the privacy page.
Public sign-up is closed. Joining the waitlist does not issue a workspace or an agent key; we will email you when early access is ready.
PRIVATE PREVIEW
A foundation worth following.
Cube OS is currently available to the founder while we prepare early access. Joining the waitlist saves your interest and consent for launch updates; it does not create an account.
